Graphic Design Referenced - Review

Knowledge is key.
The book states: Impererative as it is to stay abreast of world news, congnizant of other disciplines, and interested in a variety of topics, delving fully into the world of graphic design is essential. A sustained interest in the trade publications, book, blogs, and exhibits that catalogue and trace the evolution of graphic design helps broaden one's understanding of how it is practiced, talked about and showcased.

Graphic Design, Referenced is a visual and informational guide to the most commonly referenced terms, historical moments, landmark projects, and influential practitioners in the field of graphic design. With more than 2,000 design projects illustrating more than 400 entries, it provides an complete overview of the varied elements that make up the graphic design profession.

The book starts with a definitive time line containing all the information you will need to compile an assignment. About that i will say no more. It is also available at a library near you.
This book includes everything you will ever need to know about graphic design. Its full of great designs, bright colors and intelligent descriptions. But to be totally honest, i find the whole thing excessive.
I rate it 9 thick books out of 10.
